Matthew 9:32 – 34

32 As they went out, behold, they brought to Him a man, mute and demon-possessed.

33 And when the demon was cast out, the mute spoke. And the multitudes marveled, saying, “It was never seen like this in Israel!”

34 But the Pharisees said, “He casts out demons by the ruler of the demons.”

Jesus and His disciples continued out on their journey from the house, we do not know what their destination is, it may be simply daily routine in the town He makes His home. We do know He is well known at this time because of His healing of individuals.

This man which is brought to Jesus for healing is mute, meaning he cannot speak. He is also demon-possessed, being demon-possessed show different symptoms, this person cannot speak, others do not have control of their bodies, some are wild and out of control.

The Pharisees do not deny Jesus cast out the demon, but they try to rob Jesus of the true power he has, instead of crediting God with the healing power, they try to attribute Jesus power to Satan. This subject is discussed more in (Matthew 12:22 – 32). But the power Jesus uses comes from God, the Holy Spirit, not the power of Satan. If the Pharisees admitted Jesus power was from God, they they would have to admit Jesus relationship with God.
