Revelation 22:1 – 5

The River of Life

1 And he showed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 In the middle of its street, and on either side of the river, was the tree of life, which bore twelve fruits, each tree yielding its fruit every month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. 4 They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. 5 There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever.

The angel who has been with John shows him the River which flows from the throne of God, pure and flowing giving to the church what is needed.

The street is like a divided road, in the middle is the stream of life, on each side of the river is a row of trees of life and then the street.

The tree is promised to all who are rewarded with entrance into the kingdom of heaven. The trees have qualities which keep the people immune to sickness.

There will be no more curse upon mankind because of sin, because sin does not exist in heaven. There will be only blessings.

Every member of the kingdom will be happy to serve the King.

In this kingdom we will have an intimate relationship with God and He will know each of us individually, He will know our names as if they are written on our foreheads.

There will never be any darkness or night there because God is there and always will light up the heaven where He resides.

God, Christ, and their faithful followers will be together and all reign together.(1 Corinthians 15:25 – 26)
