Revelation 22:12 - 17

12 “And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give to every one according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the First and the Last.”

14 Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city. 15 But outside are dogs and sorcerers and sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and whoever loves and practices a lie.

16 “I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches. I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”

17 And the Spirit and the bride say, “Come!” And let him who hears say, “Come!” And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely.

The end of time is coming and it won't be long, he is coming prepared to reward those who followed his commandments. Those whose works show how strong their faith is. Without works, your faith is dead. (James 2:14 – 24) He will reward you based on what you have done while on earth.

Christ is the beginning and the end, He was with God in the beginning. (John 1:1 - 3[In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. ]) The plan of salvation was made before the earth was formed. Christ was chosen to sacrifice His blood to redeem us before the earth was formed. (1 Peter 1:20) showing us this plan was in effect before we ever existed, and he will be with us eternally.

If we keep his word we abide with Him, (John 15:9 – 10) By keeping His commandments we will be allowed into the city and have free access to the tree of life.

Those who do not keep His commandments are not allowed in the gates and have access to the tree of life. Among those who are breakers of Christ's law are dogs(not the four legged variety[they do not have a soul, no heaven or hell for animals.] 2 Peter 2:12), dog is from the Greek word KUON meaning sodomite, in the old testament the word “keleb” is used which refers to “male prostitute” often in the scriptures dogs refer to men who have sexual relationships with other men. Among this category of sex are “whoremongers” or men who patronize immoral women otherwise men who are not just having an adulterous affair but are willing to seek any woman who is available including the ones who he has to pay for sex. Sorcerers are the ones who provide magical remedies, or illicit drugs. Proverbs 17:22 tells us that medicine is good, but any drug which is used to gain hallucinations, and feelings of loss of control of ones senses will bring curses from God (1 Corinthians 6:18 – 20). Murder was the first sin of man aga inst man, but (1 John 3:15) tells us hate is murder. Idolatry is worship of anything above the one true God, Paul tells us in (Colossians 3:5) covetousness is idolatry as well when we want some item enough to place its value above our will to follow the commands of God, then we are worshipping that item. And of course all types of liars will be sent to the lake of fire.(Revelation 21:8)

The beginning of the book of Revelation tells us it is a message about the revelations of Jesus Christ, not of those of John. Here Christ reintroduces himself. The purpose of this vision which is given to John is to pass information to the church or its congregations.

Jesus is in the lineage of David from Abraham on down, David had two sons by Bathsheba, Solomon and Nathan(1 Chronicles 3: 5) Christ's bloodline divides here his earthly father, Joseph's bloodline is through Solomon, while, his Mother, Mary's bloodline is through Nathan. Not only was this important but David was the first king of the tribe of Judah, the tribe of Judah was prophesied to continue on the throne, but by Christ it would be a spiritual kingdom.

Christ is a bright and morning star, he announces that a new day is beginning and it is going to be bright. The new day is announced (2 Peter 1:19) The rising of Christ did bring a new day in the Christian dispensation.

In this book the timeline brings us to the day of judgment, the end of the world has passed, there is no reason to have invitations given out, all of life has ended on the earth, if a soul has not accepted Christ as its savior and has not followed His word, then it is too late.

However this book was written two thousand years ago, it is written in a prophetic manner to help us as mankind understand what will happen, and what the consequences of our decisions are. God does not force us to accept Him as our Father, or to accept His Son as our Savior, but the consequences of not accepting His invitations are to be locked out of heaven.

The bride is the church. (2 Corinthians 11:2) the spirit is in the church (Ephesians 2:22) The church of Christ has been given the responsibility to offer a standing invitation to the world from Christ to accept salvation.

The church of Christ is the only organization which has the authority to make such an invitation. (Ephesians 3:21) and (1 Timothy 3:15) the members of the church as individuals are to repeat the call and has the duty of each member to be active in offering salvation for souls. (Matthew 5:6 [Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, For they shall be filled. ])

Christ says for everyone who is willing to accept Him as their savior, and willing to keep His word, commandments, then the fountain of life is available to them.
