Mark 16:12 - 13

Jesus Appears to Two Disciples

12 After that, He appeared in another form to two of them as they walked and went into the country.

13 And they went and told it to the rest, but they did not believe them either.

Jesus may have been unrecognizable because of all of the beatings and abuse he suffered at the hands of the Jews and the Romans. It is said in Luke 24:16 that their eyes were restrained from knowing who he was. But after him blessing their food at supper, they recognized him.

Then out of amazement they returned to tell the rest. But the others were as doubtful of this report as before.
